Simone Berard, M.D. joined West Georgia Internal Medicine in 1998. She attended Mercer University School of Medicine graduating in 1993. Her intern year and her first year of residency were completed at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in 1995. She finished her residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, in 1996 and stayed to enjoy a two year teaching appointment with Wake Forest University School of Medicine within the Department of Internal Medicine and Gerontology.
Dr. Berard is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the Medical Association of Georgia.

William R. Berard, M.D. Pharm. D., joined West Georgia Internal Medicine in 1998 and became a full partner in 2001. Following college, he attended Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy and graduated Cum Laude with a Doctor of Pharmacy in 1991. He then attended Mercer University School of Medicine where he was the recipient of the Basic Science Award for academic Excellence, elected into the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, and graduated at the top of his class in 1995.
Dr. Berard completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC in 1998. Dr. Berard is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of Georgia, and the American College of Physicians.

Joanne Gaw, M.D.
Dr. Joanne Gaw joined West Georgia Internal Medicine in November of 2003. She got her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida in 1996 and her medical degree from the University of Miami in 2000. She then moved to Connecticut where she completed her 3 year internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital with a focus in primary care.
Dr. Gaw enjoys primary care because it allows her to take care of her patients through the various stages of life and build a trusting, long-term relationship with them. She believes strongly in wellness and preventative health and taking care of the whole person, addressing both physical and emotional well-being.
Dr. Gaw is Board certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians.
Jessi Stockham, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Jessi Stockham joined West Georgia Internal Medicine in 2019. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013. While working as a registered nurse, she returned to school to further her education. In 2017, she graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Master of Science in Nursing as a family nurse practitioner. Jessi has previous experience in cardiology, women's health, and urgent care. She is a board certified family nurse practitioner and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

J. Lee Stringfellow, M.D.
West Georgia Internal Medicine, P.C. was founded in 1983 by J. Lee Stringfellow, M.D. Graduating Suma Cum Laude with a BS in Biology from Georgia Southwestern in Americus, Georgia, he attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He continued there with his internship, residency, and post graduate training. He has been Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 1983. Dr. Stringfellow is the foundation around which West Georgia Internal Medicine standards are set.

Kevin D. Webster, MD
In 1996, Kevin D. Webster, M.D, arrived on staff to cover the growth spurt as the WGIM patient base grew. Dr. Webster attended the Medical College of Georgia and Augusta College in Augusta. Moving on to Macon, Georgia, Dr. Webster completed his internship and residency at Mercer University School of Medicine in the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Dr. Webster is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and a full partner in the practice.

Dr. Cook joined West Georgia Internal Medicine in 2021. She earned her medical degree in Internal Medicine from the University of Pikeville in Pikeville, Kentucky. She completed her internship and residency at Adena Health System in Chillicothe, Ohio. Dr. Cook is a doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and focuses on whole-body healing with a holistic approach, with or without traditional medication/alternative therapies. Dr. Cook provides osteopathic manual medicine therapies, such as spinal or muscle manipulation as part of her treatment.
Dr. Cook is Board Certified and a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Academy of Osteopathy.

Andrew Rho, D.O.
Dr. Rho, a board-certified family medicine physician, joined West Georgia Internal Medicine in 2023, bringing a diverse background and extensive training to his practice. With a bachelor's degree in international business from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, he initially pursued a master's in social work before transitioning to the medical field. Serving as a biological research sergeant in the Brain Trauma Neuroprotection and Neurorestoration Department at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, Dr. Rho gained valuable experience. Following an honorable discharge from the US Army after 5 years of service, he earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed internship and residency at the University of South Florida. A committed member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Rho is fluent in Korean, ensuring effective communication and understanding with a diverse patient population while delivering high-quality and compassionate healthcare. Outside of his medical endeavors, Dr. Rho is a devoted husband to his wife Hyeju and a loving father to three children, Noa, Zio, and Roy. He also cherishes outdoor activities with his kids, including camping, running, cycling, and golfing.
